To Protect You From the Eye of Envy, Jealousy, or Gossip

Timing: Tuesday.

1.  Place six white candles in a circle. 
2. Moving clockwise, light each of the candles in the circle, saying:
   “Shield me from all darkness with the eye of truth.”
3. In a bowl of salt, draw the shape of an eye in the center using the index finger of your dominant hand.
   
4. Take a pinch of salt and sprinkle it in the candle flames going clockwise, repeating for each:
   “Cleansed be of darkness with the eye of truth. So I am free.”
5. Draw one one eye in the air outside of the candle circle, and then using the same finger, draw an eye in front of each candle.
   
6. Go around the circle three times and draw eyes in the same place each time saying continuously and firmly:
   “Turn away the eye of envy. Think not of me, act not against me, so I am free.”
7. Extinguish the candles one at a time, saying for each:
   “May the eye of envy be gone with the dimming of this light.”
8. Wash away the remaining salt in the bowl and on the candles under a running faucet while saying:
   “Flow from me, go from me, eye of envy. So I am free.”
9. Whenever you feel threatened, you can draw the eye in the center of your brow with your index finger and repeat mentally:
   “Turn away the eye of envy. Think not of me, speak not of me, act not against me, so I am free.”
